Neuranics Recognised in the IOP’s qBIG Prize 2025 for Quantum Innovation

We are proud to share that Neuranics was named runner-up in the 2025 qBIG Prize, awarded by the Institute of Physics (IOP) to celebrate companies translating quantum science into commercial impact. The award was announced on 13 May 2025 at the Economist’s Commercialising Quantum Global event in London.

This year’s prize attracted applications from companies working across quantum sensing, communications, computing, and enabling technologies. While Delta g was awarded the top prize for its gravity sensors, Neuranics was one of two finalists recognised as runners-up.

Neuranics’ approach is grounded in quantum tunnelling, delivered through our Tunneling Magnetoresistance (TMR) sensors. These sensors detect picoTesla-level magnetic fields generated by physiological processes such as muscle activation and heart rhythms. Our integrated solution combines the TMR sensor array with a custom ASIC and AI-enabled signal processing, creating a compact and scalable solution for digital health, wearables, and human-machine interfaces.

The IOP judges praised Neuranics for the completeness of the solution and its potential for significant commercial impact. With the ability to deliver a full stack of technology, from chip design to embedded software, Neuranics accelerates product development for partners working in health monitoring, extended reality, and next-generation interfaces.

We are honoured to be recognised by the Institute of Physics and to be counted among the most promising quantum-scale innovators in the UK. This recognition affirms both the scientific depth and commercial readiness of our technology. It also reflects the dedication of the Neuranics team in turning research into real-world sensing solutions that enhance the way humans interact with technology.
