Neuranics to Debut 8-Channel Magnetic Sensing Wristband Prototype for Gesture Recognition at CES 2026
Visitors to CES 2026 will get an early look at what intuitive gesture control could feel like in everyday life. From 6 to 9 January in Las Vegas, Neuranics will unveil MiMiG, an 8-channel magnetic sensing wristband prototype built to demonstrate how muscle-generated magnetic signals can unlock seamless interaction across XR, wearable technology, digital health, and machine control.
A new way to understand muscle activity
MiMiG uses Neuranics’ ultra-sensitive TMR sensors positioned around the inner and outer wrist. The design captures subtle muscle activity without gels, electrodes, or tight straps. For companies exploring more natural and comfortable interaction methods, MiMiG offers a chance to see how magnetic sensing can record clean signals during normal wrist and hand movements.
Live demonstrations at CES will show gesture recognition in real time through embedded electronics and AI-enabled processing. Visitors will be able to observe how magnetic signals translate into intuitive control and interaction.
MiMiG is a developmental prototype available for evaluation under NDA. It has been created to help partners understand how magnetic sensing can support future products, from next generation wearables to XR systems.
Showcasing the full magnetic sensing solution
Alongside MiMiG, Neuranics will demonstrate the complete signal chain behind its magnetic sensing solution. This includes TMR sensor technology, custom mixed-signal ASIC design, and advanced hardware and software that support low-power, real-time gesture interfaces.
Panel session at CES
Dr Kia Nazarpour, CSO at Neuranics, will speak on the AI-Powered Wearables panel on Thursday 8 January from 9.00 am to 9.40 am at the Venetian, Level 4, Lando 4302. The session will explore how AI can turn wearable devices into more proactive and personalised systems.
