IFA Berlin 2025 Recognition for Neuranics as Emerging Tech Honoree

Less than 1 minute

Neuranics has returned from a successful week at IFA Berlin 2025, held at Messe Berlin, Germany from 5–9 September 2025, where we exhibited in IFA Next Hall 25, the showcase for breakthrough technologies. IFA is one of the world’s largest consumer electronics trade shows, attracting around a quarter of a million visitors, making it an important stage for highlighting the technologies that will shape the future.

Advancing Gesture Recognition

At the event, Neuranics presented the latest demo of our gesture control wristband prototype, powered by our magnetic sensing technology. The wristband uses our TMR-based sensors to detect the small magnetic signals generated by muscle activity and translate them into accurate, real-time gesture recognition. Visitors were able to see how gestures such as hand movements and finger actions could be captured and displayed using our machine learning software.

Unlike optical or electrical methods, magnetic sensing works through thin clothing, requires no direct skin contact, has low power consumption and is unaffected by sweat or movement artefacts, providing a more reliable pathway to always-on, intuitive interaction. These advantages attracted strong interest from attendees across consumer electronics, XR and digital health, who are exploring new approaches to gesture recognition and human–machine interaction.

Building on Momentum

This was not the first public demonstration of the technology. Earlier in 2025, Neuranics showcased a four-channel MMG (magnetomyography) wristband at Sensors Converge in Santa Clara. Each event has allowed us to share progress, demonstrate the latest features, and gather valuable feedback from industry audiences. The IFA demo marked another step forward as we continue to refine the wristband ahead of the unveiling planned for CES 2026.

Honoured Among Global Innovators

A highlight of the week was being named an Honoree in the Best of Emerging Tech category at the IFA Innovation Awards 2025 for our Multi-Channel TMR Sensor Solution. The award placed Neuranics alongside global leaders such as Samsung and TCL, underlining the relevance of our work in an international context. Being recognised at this level shows that magnetic sensing is gaining attention as a transformative technology with applications across the consumer electronics landscape. The full list of winners can be found on the IFA website.

Looking Ahead

IFA Berlin 2025 was also a valuable opportunity to connect with industry leaders, innovators, and potential partners. We would like to thank everyone who visited our stand and engaged with our team during the week. With momentum building across international events this year, we are now focused on preparing for CES 2026, where Neuranics will present the next stage of our product roadmap and further demonstrate the potential of our magnetic sensing solutions.
